Abstract
Education, which is the supreme goal of divine religions, is influenced by various factors. Without a doubt, the mother is one of the most important factors influencing education, and therefore, she has always been the focus of attention of those concerned with educational matters, and it is obvious that the knowledge of jurisprudence is also expected to clearly explain the mission of the mother in this regard. However, in jurisprudential books, there is no independent discussion about the duties and powers of the mother in education. Therefore, the answer to the question "What duties and powers has the Holy Law determined for the mother in raising a child?" seems inevitable.
In this research, which was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method, the author has come to the conclusion that in religious teachings, there is no evidence that exclusively speaks of the mother's duty in raising a child; but there are other general titles that oblige her to raise a child. Of course, given the lack of proof of the mother's guardianship over the child, whenever this upbringing requires taking possession of the child's property or body (before puberty), it is necessary to carry out those educational measures with the permission of the guardian, except in cases that fall under the heading of enjoining good and forbidding evil and there are special conditions for this.
