Research Misconduct Prevention Policy

The submission of a manuscript to the journal’s online submission system will automatically generate a notification email to all listed authors. Inclusion of an individual’s name as an author indicates that they have made a substantial scientific contribution to the preparation of the manuscript. If the name of any individual has been included without their knowledge or contribution, the journal must be informed immediately through the notification email received.

All authors are collectively responsible for the originality, authenticity, and integrity of the submitted work and are required to complete and sign the publication ethics commitment form. The journal reserves the right to investigate all cases of research misconduct and plagiarism.

Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, the following practices:

  • Submitting another person’s work under one’s own name;
  • Including individuals as authors or researchers who have made no scientific contribution to the manuscript;
  • Copying or reproducing substantial parts of another published or unpublished work without proper citation, even when the copied work belongs to one of the authors;
  • Presenting the findings, data, or results of other researchers as one’s own;
  • Duplicate publication or simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals;
  • Fabrication, falsification, or distortion of research data and findings;
  • Manipulation or use of unreliable, invalid, or fabricated data in research.

All suspected cases of plagiarism or research misconduct will be reviewed by the editorial board. To preserve academic integrity and protect the rights of researchers, the journal will take appropriate legal and ethical actions, depending on the severity of the violation, including:

  • Immediate rejection or retraction of the article;
  • Removal of the published article from the journal’s website and submission system;
  • Blacklisting of all authors involved from future submissions to journals affiliated with Imam Sadiq University;
  • Official notification of the misconduct case to related national and international journals, institutions, and universities;
  • Reporting the case to competent authorities, including the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, academic institutions, indexing databases, and organizations that have benefited from the publication record of the article.
