In this article the wife’s alimony in Iranian law and its compliance with Imami jurisprudence and also a comparison of the Iranian system of receiving alimony with the wage systems of woman in both Britain and America are taken into consideration. While the law must be responsive to new developments and disputes arising from the changes in family life, an analysis of the laws of various countries can help the legislator in the elimination of possible drawbacks in the existing law to administer justice within the society. This study is therefore significant in that it clarifies common law approaches on this issue. In Iranian law a wife’s alimony, despite the many advantages that it has compared to common law, in some ways could witness growing changes.  <em>یکی از حقوق زوجه بر عهده زوج تأمین نفقه ‌اوست که در اسلام بر عهده‌ مرد گذاشته شده است. در این مقاله بررسی نفقه زن در حقوق ایران و میزان مطابقت آن با فقه امامی و نیز مقایسه سیستم دریافت نفقه در ایران با سیستم معاش زن در دو کشور انگلیس و امریکا مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. از آن‌جا که قانون باید پاسخگوی تحولات جدید زندگی انسان و اختلافات ناشی از این تحول در خانواده‌ها باشد، بررسی قوانین حقوقی کشورهای مختلف می‌تواند قانونگذار را در رفع نواقص احتمالی قوانین موجود و اجرای عدالت در جامعه یاری دهد. این بررسی از آن رو حائز اهمیت است که رویکرد نظام حقوقی کامن‏لا را درباره این موضوع روشن می‌کند. نفقه زوجه در حقوق ایران با وجود امتیازات فراوانی که نسبت به حقوق کامن‏لا دارد، از برخی جهات می‌تواند تغییرات رو به رشدی داشته باشد.</em> https://flj.isu.ac.ir/article_49257_c7f32eb1ed57f8ce0c77128c51d1f759.pdf
